Bruce attended Covert Public Schools and graduated in 1971. He attended Western Michigan University, where he earned a college degree. While at Western he was President of the African American Student Body, a floor director I booth announcer at WKZO-TV and Disc Jockey on two campus radio stations.

After graduation, Bruce moved to Hollywood to make his dream a reality. He worked as a drummer for the 5th Dimension and had been around the world twice by the age of 23. He began working at production throughout Los Angeles. He began refining his producing skills, working up the ranks from technician, supervisor, producer to director. For seven years Bruce produced one of the largest street festivals in the nation. He has managed television and live events in every type of environment on all four corners of the earth. He has worked for the White House Press Corp, Congress-woman Maxine Waters, The Democratic National Convention, Presidential Candidates Bill Clinton, Magic Johnson, and Tom Joyner just to name a few. Bruce presently resides in Los Angeles.
