Willie earned a BA in Business Administration from Mercy College of Detroit and an AS in Business Management from Lorain Community College in Lorain, Ohio. After graduation, Willie was employed by the Bendix Corporation Plant in St. Joseph, Michigan from 1974 to 1983. He was promoted to Manager of Human Resources at Bendix Corporation Plant. Willie was moved to Bendix World Headquarters in Southfield Michigan. In 1983, he was recruited by United States Shoe Corporation as Corporate Director, Associate Relations and Cultural Diversity of a $2.7 billion dollar Corporation with 40,000 employees headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Willie was characterized by his employer as a "high energy results-oriented manager with a proven track record for motivating employees and management in successful training programs."

During his employment in Cincinnati, Ohio, Willie, as a volunteer, led a successful effort to obtain $389,000 from the City Council to remodel an inner city YMCA serving African American families. As a volunteer, he also led a $790,705 fund raising drive in 1994 to send under-privileged youth to camp. In 1995, his leadership resulted in $895,677. In 1997, as a Vice President of Financial resulting in $1.3 million dollars for flood victims and other under-privileged youth to enjoy summer camp. Willie was recruited by the National Office of the YMCA and is the National Director of Leadership Development for the YMCA of the USA. His staff in Chicago, where his office is located and in Springfield College, Massachusetts, where the YMCA "Hall of Fame" is located, help him manage a 29 million dollar budget.

Willie is married to Debris-Brown Procter and they have 3 adult children. Willie has devoted his life to helping and supporting inner city youth.
